longer wheelbase and 150 km electric range

Recent filings with China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) have revealed specifications for a new Haval model, reportedly named the Raptor V7 Plus. The vehicle appears to share its powertrain and battery specifications with the upcoming 2026 Haval Raptor PHEV, which is scheduled to launch on August 19, with current pricing ranging from 165,800 to 192,800 yuan (approx. 24,500–28,500 USD).

The Raptor V7 Plus will use a 1.5T Hi4 engine producing a maximum of 115 kW, paired with an electric motor rated at 150 kW. The combined system output is 330 kW. Battery options include 18.74 kWh, 27.54 kWh, and 35.43 kWh packs, corresponding to MIIT-rated pure electric ranges of 80 km, 112 km, and 150 km. Compared with the 2026 Raptor PHEV, the V7 PLUS shows slight reductions of 1 km, 3 km, and 1 km for the respective battery options, likely due to its larger body dimensions.

The Raptor V7 Plus has vertically oriented rear lights.

Images submitted to MIIT indicate that the Raptor V7 Plus maintains the design language of the 2026 Raptor PHEV, featuring a square front grille with six black square accents, squared headlamp units, conventional door handles, and vertically oriented rear lights. Optional features include an external spare tire or storage box. The vehicle’s dimensions are 4792 mm in length (4912 mm with spare tire), 1950 mm in width, and 1886 mm in height (1905 mm with spare tire), with a wheelbase of 2850 mm.

Compared with the current Raptor PHEV, this represents a 112 mm increase in length, a 43–62 mm increase in height, and a 112 mm longer wheelbase. A colour-matched panel between the C- and D-pillars highlights the size increase.

Optional features include an external spare tire or storage box.

The Raptor V7 Plus is expected to be classified as a mid-size SUV. It offers multiple grille designs, a standard panoramic sunroof, optional side steps, and 18- or 19-inch wheel options. In terms of market positioning, other mid-size SUVs with off-road styling and hybrid/extended-range powertrains include the Feiyue Leopard 5 (starting at 239,800 yuan, approx. 35,500 USD), though the Raptor V7 Plus is likely to have a lower starting price.
