experience the 233,000 USD Yangwang U9 supercar for just 80 USD

BYD opened a new all-terrain race track in Zhengzhou on August 14th, with a massive 5 billion yuan (700 million USD) investment spanning over 150,000 square meters. With a stated goal of enabling “millions on the track,” BYD aims to transform racing culture from an exclusive pursuit into a mainstream experience.

Unlike conventional single-track designs, the BYD Zhengzhou All-Terrain Race Track breaks the mould by condensing diverse national terrains into one location. Users can experience extreme scenarios like floating water navigation, desert dune climbing and simulated ice and snow conditions without extensive travel. These features not only offer unique driving pleasure but also serve as a prime platform to showcase the safety and performance of new energy vehicles.

The main track spans 1,758 meters, featuring nine turns and a 550-meter straightaway where vehicles can reach speeds of up to 220 km/h. A multi-functional test area integrates over a dozen intelligent scenarios, including slalom, parking, AEB (Autonomous Emergency Braking), and moose tests. The off-road section boasts 27 distinct projects, meticulously replicating famous routes like the Sichuan-Tibet line and Chengfo Slope, catering to various skill levels. A 9,000 square meter leisure and camping area is also available for relaxation and recreation.

Beyond Zhengzhou, BYD’s Hefei track commenced operations in May, and the Shaoxing track is slated to open early next year. Furthermore, BYD plans to construct a natural mountain off-road base in East China, covering approximately 1.33 square kilometres with an elevation of 500 meters, blending off-road challenges with ecological tourism.

With booking packages ranging from 599 yuan (83 USD) to 6,666 yuan (927 USD). The entry-level 599 yuan (83 USD) package notably offers the chance to test ride BYD’s supercar, the Yangwang U9, which is priced at 1,680,000 yuan (233,520 USD) on the track, making high-performance driving remarkably accessible to the general public.
