Sub-$100K Corvette Z06s Are Almost Here As Prices Keep Falling

  • This Corvette had a sticker price of $135,580 and has already lost $33,000.
  • Recently, two Z06s on Bring a Trailer failed to attract bids of over $100,000.
  • It’s hard to think of a better supercar for the money than a used C8 Z06.

If you’re shopping for a supercar in the US, but only have a budget of $100,000, the C8 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 should be at the top of the list. Prices for the Z06 have been sliding as dealer lots fill up, and the car is quickly turning into one of the standout bargains of the year.

The official starting price the current Z06 sits at $112,000 for the base trim, which isn’t the most enticing version. The real sweet spot is in the lightly used market, where discounts are stacking up. A striking 2024 model in Adrenaline Red recently sold for just $102,000, making it one of the lowest transaction prices yet.

The example sold on BaT is a 2LZ equipped with extras like a $2,595 nose lift, $1,995 competition sport bucket seats, painted brake calipers, and black exhaust tips. Its original sticker came to $135,580, but with just 8,000 miles driven, it has already shed more than $33,000 in value.

Auctions Falling Flat

It’s not alone. Several other C8 Z06s have crossed the auction block on Bring a Trailer in recent months, with bidding often falling short of expectations.

In August, a black 2025 Corvette Z06 1LZ driven just 1,100 miles was listed for sale. Bidding only reached $96,500, despite it having a sticker price of $120,375 and being just as pristine as it was when it left GM’s Bowling Green factory.

Earlier this month, a white 2024 Z06 also failed to sell on BaT. That Corvette had just 1,400 miles under its belt, was a 3LZ with a $156,950 sticker price, and yet bidding stopped at just $96,000.

Warranty Woes

Admittedly, hindering the interest in that car was the fact that its factory warranty had been blocked /cancelled by GM because it had previously been sold within the first 12 months of ownership. Despite the owner’s insistence that they had paid out of pocket for a standalone 48-month, 100,000-mile warranty from Ferrari of Fort Lauderdale, where they purchased the car, it seems many bidders were put off by the lack of the peace of mind an official factory cover is meant to provide.
