Aston’s $3,000 Baby Stroller Has Wheels Inspired By A $1 Million Supercar

  • Aston Martin partnered with egg to create a stroller inspired by the DBX707.
  • Honeycomb-shaped wheel spokes draw design cues from the Valour and Victor.
  • The luxury stroller supports up to 55 lbs and starts from around $3,000.

Canadian billionaire Lawrence Stroll is part-owner of Aston Martin, and his son, Lance, races for the Aston Martin F1 Team. Perhaps because of their surnames, or perhaps simply because Lawrence saw an intriguing business opportunity, the marque has joined forces with British company egg to create an exclusive baby stroller (yes, there’s a pun here…). So, if you own an Aston and want your baby to also ride around in one, now’s your chance to make it happen.

The stroller, known as the egg3, takes design inspiration from the DBX707 and, according to the brand, has been created to combine its “passion for exceptional design, meticulous craftsmanship, and engineering excellence.”

Styled Like a Super SUV

All egg3 versions feature honeycomb-spoke wheels modeled after those on the million-dollar Valour and Victor. The frame is finished with quilted detailing to create the kind of touchpoints you would expect from a luxury brand. Of course, once put to the real test of everyday use, keeping that upscale finish spotless may prove a challenge.

Aston Martin will sell the stroller in three different finishes. The first is bathed in a shade of green that’s been accented by subtle racing lime highlights. There are then two grey versions with herringbone fabric, one of which also includes Bitter Chocolate leather detailing and Magneto Bronze trimmings. According to the automaker, the egg3 can support up to 55 lbs (25 kg).

Price of Prestige

Like any luxury good, it comes as no surprise that the egg3 is absurdly expensive. In fact, it’ll start at around $3,000. While that’s a lot for most new parents, it’s a drop in the bucket when compared to the $260,000 MSRP for a DBX707 in the United States. If you can afford a super SUV like that, you can definitely afford this stroller, too.

“This collaboration with egg represents a perfect synergy, extending the very essence of Aston Martin into a new chapter of our customers’ lives,” Aston Martin director of brand diversification Stefano Saporetti said. “Just like the Aston Martin DBX brought performance and versatility to family travel, the new stroller will offer parents a stylish, functional and high-quality option delivering the Aston Martin experience to the full family.”
