Kia Cut Navigation From 2026 Sorento S But Still Raised The Price

  • Kia reveals the 2026 Sorento with small updates and higher pricing across trims.
  • Base price climbs to $32,190, excluding the increased $1,445 destination fee.
  • Most trims gain equipment, but Sorento S loses Wi-Fi and navigation features.

2026 models keep making their way to showrooms and the latest is the Kia Sorento. Since the crossover received a facelift for 2024, this year’s updates are relatively minor and include some welcome additions.

Starting with the entry-level Sorento LX, the mid-size crossover begins at $32,190 which is an increase of $200. However, the destination fee has climbed from $1,415 to $1,445, so you’re looking at a combined jump of $230.

Small Gains, Small Losses

That’s a pretty reasonable increase, especially considering the crossover comes with additional equipment. In this case, drivers will find a newly standard leather-wrapped steering wheel with hands-on detection.

Review: The 2024 Kia Sorento X-Pro Is Everything Most Buyers Want And Then Some

While it’s nice to see the polyurethane steering wheel banished, the $35,090 Sorento S has been stripped of navigation and a Wi-Fi hot spot. That’s disappointing as pricing has climbed $500, so customers are paying more and getting less.

Moving up the trim ladder, the $38,290 Sorento EX offers a new Premium Package. It costs $2,000 and is only offered on the front-wheel drive variant. While it’s not cheap, the package adds second-row captain’s chairs, a panoramic glass roof, and a Bose premium audio system.

On the styling front, X-Line and X-Pro models now have gloss black exterior trim. They’re joined by a gloss black grille and a matching air intake surround. Furthermore, the X-Line EX adds a Bose audio system.

Last but not least, the Sorento SX becomes more luxurious thanks to the addition of a heated steering wheel, a Bose audio system, and an auto-dimming rearview mirror with HomeLink. The model also gains rear sun shades, but the cost of entry climbs $400 to $42,090.

Powertrain Options

Engine options carryover as customers will find naturally aspirated and turbocharged 2.5-liter four-cylinders. The former produces 191 hp (142 kW / 194 PS) and 195 lb-ft (264 Nm) of torque, while the latter develops 281 hp (210 kW / 285 PS) and 311 lb-ft (421 Nm). They’re paired to an eight-speed automatic transmission, which can be connected to an optional all-wheel drive system. That brings us to the final change for 2026 as all-wheel drive variants now come standard with a new Terrain Mode.
