Mercedes Built A Baby Stroller That Costs More Than My First Car

  • Mercedes and Hartan unveiled four luxury strollers with unique designs.
  • Models include Performance, Avantgarde, All-Terrain, and AMG GT2.
  • All versions feature adjustable suspension and a Bag2Go accessory.

A couple of months back, Aston Martin got our attention with its $3,000 baby stroller, proving that even parenting can be a luxury sport. Not one to let a rival have all the fun, Mercedes has now rolled out four of its own, developed in partnership with German stroller specialist Hartan.

So if you know a Mercedes owner eager to extend their brand loyalty to the nursery, one of these could make an extravagant, conversation-starting holiday gift.

Who Said Strollers Can’t Have Style?

The strollers are known as the Performance, Avantgarde, All-Terrain, and Mercedes-AMG GT2. The first of these, the Performance, has been equipped with a Quick-Fix safety harness system and a bassinet with an adjustable backrest.

The lineup includes the Performance, Avantgarde, All-Terrain, and Mercedes-AMG GT2. The Performance sets the tone with a Quick-Fix safety harness and a bassinet whose backrest can be adjusted for maximum comfort.

The Avantgarde adds a telescopic handlebar, a practical detail that spares taller parents from stooping and shorter ones from overreaching.

As you may have guessed, the All-Terrain is equipped with meatier tires that’ll be perfect on non-paved surfaces and also includes a handbrake. All three of these models are clad in vegan leatherette fabric and are available in five different colors: Rubellite, Opalite, Tartufo, Vintage Blue, and Verde Silver.

Then there’s the Mercedes-AMG GT2. Despite the name, it’s not a track-day toy but the most compact model of the range, designed to fold neatly into a car trunk.

It’s also equipped with cross-spoke AMG wheels and includes cognac-colored parts, including the decorative stitching and an embroidered AMG logo on the sun visor.

All four strollers from Mercedes and Mercedes-AMG include adjustable suspension and a Bag2Go accessory that clips onto the handlebars. Parents wanting the ultimate luxury experience can even order special stroller gloves to keep their hands warm.

Depending on location, prices start around €1,599 ($1,800) and rise to €1,999 ($2,300), another reminder that in the world of premium automakers, even baby gear comes with a luxury price tag.
