Chevy’s Halo Car Is Getting Slaughtered On The Used Market

  • This Corvette Z06 had a sticker price of $145,925 and traded hands for just $118,000.
  • Earlier in July, a Z06 Convertible sold for $112,000 after being driven just 1,000 miles.

With newer, faster Chevy Corvettes on the horizon, now is a great time to consider the high-revving C8 Z06. While it may not have turbos or hybrid hardware like the hypercar-slaying ZR1 and ZR1X, the Z06 still delivers more than enough punch for the street, and thanks to growing dealer inventory, it’s currently easy to find a great deal on a lightly used one.

Read: New Corvette Z06s Are Piling At Dealer Lots As Discounts Surge

Not long after we revealed that roughly 1,700 Corvette Z06s are sitting in dealer inventory across the country, prompting some dealers to offer discounts of over $10,000, an almost brand-new Z06 just traded hands for almost $30,000 less than its MSRP. This comes despite the fact that it has been driven just 2,100 miles (about 3,300 km).

Nearly New, Heavily Discounted

This Z06 is perhaps the most fitting of all colors available for the Corvette Z06, Torch Red. It also sits on 20- and 21-inch forged aluminum wheels wrapped in Michelin tires and sitting over a set of Brembo carbon ceramic brakes.

While this Z06 lacks some of the carbon fiber options that are available to customers, including the Z07 Performance Package with the new splitter, canards, and rear wing, it has been beautifully specced and looks just like a true supercar should.

A look at the window sticker reveals the original owner paid $145,925 for the car, with the carbon ceramic brakes the single most expensive option. However, when it came across Bring a Trailer, bidding topped out at just $118,000. This fell short of the reserve, but the seller says BaT itself stepped in to make up the difference.

Prices Keep Dropping

This isn’t an isolated case. Just last week, another Z06, a convertible in Arctic White, sold for $112,000 despite an original sticker of $139,325. That car had only racked up 1,000 miles (about 1,600 km) before hitting the auction block.

var adpushup = window.adpushup = window.adpushup || {que:[]};

} else {
adpushup.triggerAd(“9b1169d9-7a89-4971-a77f-1397f7588751”);
}
});

Where do prices go from here? Odds are they’ll keep trending downward, especially as the 2026 Corvette lineup starts arriving with its updated interior. For anyone who’s been eyeing the Z06 from a distance, now seems like the right moment to make a move.
