‘My Back Hurts, My Neck Hurts, My Shoulders Hurt’ But He Still Went After The Truck

  • Footage shows a Charger overtaking a semi before being struck in a right turn.
  • The Dodge driver attempted to pass on the right near a gas station entrance.
  • After the collision, the truck drove through the station and into the intersection.

If you’re ever involved in an accident with another vehicle, it can be easy to blame the other motorist as being wholly responsible. However, in a lot of cases, both drivers shoulder some of the blame, and that’s what appears to be the case here after a Dodge Charger and a massive semi-truck collided in the United States.

adpushup.que.push(function() {

});

Footage circulating on Reddit and other social media platforms shows the crash and the aftermath between the pair. Initially, the driver of the white Charger can be seen cruising down an open road when a large truck pulls out from a gas station.

The driver of the Dodge then moves into the right lane and immediately tries to overtake the big rig. Little did the Charger driver know that the trucker had started to turn right through another entrance into the gas station.

As the Charger driver sounds the horn, the rear end of the truck swings wide, striking the side of the Dodge and causing serious damage to the driver’s door. The impact is hard enough to suggest the trucker may not have noticed the car at all, though he brakes shortly after, perhaps realizing what happened.

Despite immediately braking after the impact, likely due to feeling the hit, the trucker drives straight through the gas station, seemingly appearing to leave the scene. Moments later, the Dodge driver pulls up alongside the cab of the truck, telling the trucker that his 360-degree camera captured the whole thing. Still, the trucker then leaves again, continuing through the intersection.

Not willing to let it slide, the Dodge driver chased after the truck, running a red light in the process before pulling in front of the truck further up the road.

At this point, it’s unclear what happened next. Before the footage ends (see the second part below), the driver of the car is heard saying, “I’m going to go to the hospital. My back hurts, my neck hurts, my shoulders hurt.” There’s no confirmation on whether police were called or if insurance information was exchanged. One thing does seem clear, though: the crash could have been avoided.

If the driver of the Dodge not tried to overtake the truck, and instead kept a safe distance, the two wouldn’t have come together. It also doesn’t appear as though the trucker’s turn signal was on, so the Charger owner didn’t realize that he was making a right turn.
