IM Motors’ new LS6 SUV is open for pre-sale, featuring a refreshed exterior and interior, and added EREV on top of the previous BEV variants. The price range is 209,900 to 279,900 yuan (29,200 to 39,000 USD). The official launch will be on September 10 in China.

The EREV is powered by IM Motors’ “Stellar” range-extender system, boasting a maximum CLTC comprehensive range of 1,502 km and a pure electric range of 450 km.
Within 30 minutes of the pre-sale opening, the number of orders exceeded 10,000 units.

Six exterior paints are offered.


Both variants have the same design with a fastback shape, front and rear fenders wider than the body, and are equipped with double five-spoke rims and red brake calipers.


The front adopts Y-shaped headlights in which the official named “Starlight” and the roof has a 520-line lidar only on the high-end trims. At the same time, the brand logo has been moved from the bumper to the engine hood.


The rear has a through-type taillight strip in which the official named “Skyline 2.0”.

The EREV variant has body dimensions of 4937/1988/1671 mm (l/w/h) and a wheelbase of 2960 mm. The BEV variant is only 2 mm shorter with the other dimensions remain the same.

The onboard IM AD 3.0 advanced driving assistance system does not rely on high-definition maps and is powered by an Nvidia Drive Thor chip.

Equipped with IM Motors’ Lizard Digital Chassis 2.0 and the Continental MK C2 brake-by-wire system, the new IM LS6 can realize two-way 18° four-wheel steering, enabling a turning radius of 4.79 meters.
For the EREV, the “Stellar” range-extender system is comprised of a Zephyr 1.5T engine, a rear 800V silicon carbide “Hurricane” electric motor, and CATL’s Freevoy Super Max battery pack. The engine and the motor have a maximum power of 114 kW (153 hp) and 230 kW (308 hp), respectively. The 0 to 100 km/h acceleration time is 6.4 seconds.

The BEV is available in RWD or AWD. The RWD has a maximum power of 245 kW (329 hp) and a 76 kWh battery pack, boasting a range of 650 km. The AWD has a combined system power of 500 kW (671 hp) and a 103 kWh battery pack, offering a range of 750 km and a 0 to 100 km/h acceleration time of 3.48 seconds.
Under fast charging, it takes 15 minutes to recharge 310 km of range.

The cockpit has also been revised. The previous retractable central control screen has been replaced with a 27.1-inch 5K display and a 15.6-inch 3K co-pilot entertainment screen, powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295 chip. Consumers can choose from either a full steering wheel or a half steering wheel.




The interior adopts a five-seater layout, with the co-pilot zero-gravity seat upgraded to support a 121° adjustable angle. The rear seats also offer ventilation, heating, and massage functions, with 10 adjustable angles ranging from 19° to 37°.
Furthermore, the interior comes with an 11 L refrigerator, 50 W wireless fast charging, 21 speakers, and ambient lighting.
