Recently, Geely released a series of official images for its upcoming 5th-generation Geely Emgrand gasoline-powered sedan. The new car boasts a new design, a more powerful engine, and is larger.
The current 4th-generation Geely Emgrand on the market has a price range of 68,900 to 86,900 yuan (9,700 to 12,200 USD).

In June this year, the Geely Emgrand reached the 4 million sales mark, nearly 15 years since its launch in 2009. The Geely Emgrand is primarily manufactured in Zhejiang, China, with additional production in Egypt.

The 5th-generation Geely Emgrand measures 4815/1885/1480 mm (l/w/h), with a wheelbase of 2755 mm, which is overall bigger than the current model on the market. For reference, the 4th-generation Geely Emgrand measures 4638/1820/1460 mm (l/w/h), with a wheelbase of 2650 mm.

In the front, the 5th-generation Geely Emgrand features a new polygonal waterfall-style grille with 12 vertical trim strips, which is less dense than that of the current model. The headlights adopt a different shape and have an illumination range of more than 170 meters.

The taillights are narrow and long, connected by a plastic decorative panel embedded with new “GEELY” brand letters. The bottom is further decorated with silver trim and dual exhaust outlets.
Power will come from a 1.5T engine with a maximum power of 133 kW (178 hp) and a peak torque of 290 Nm. The top speed will be 200 km/h. For reference, the current model boasts a 1.5L engine that outputs 88 kW (118 hp) and 150 Nm, mated to an 8CVT.

Compared to the current model, the cabin has been refreshed. There is a flat-bottom multi-function steering wheel, an LCD instrument panel, and a 14.6-inch floating central control screen, paired with the Flyme Auto cockpit system. Chrome accents can be seen throughout the cabin.

The center console is equipped with 50W wireless charging for mobile phones, and some physical buttons are retained. The gear lever style has also been updated.
