Rolls-Royce Lease Credit Sounds Like Finding Loose Change In The Back Seat

  • Rolls-Royce offers a $5,000 lease credit on 2025–26 Spectre models in the U.S.
  • The incentive replaces the expired $7,500 federal tax credit for electric vehicles.
  • The Goodwood brand isn’t the only one offering discounts on high-end vehicles.

One would think that Rolls-Royce doesn’t really need discounts to lure prospective clients, but apparently even it isn’t immune to the EV subsidy trend. Following the end of federal EV tax credits in the United States, the luxury brand is offering a $5,000 lease credit on the Spectre – a gesture that feels almost comical considering the car’s MSRP.

} else {

}
});

For a vehicle with a starting price of $422,000, shaving off $5k from the lease agreement won’t really make it more accessible. In fact, the discount sounds more like a voucher for optional equipment. After all, the majority of Rolls buyers spend a lot of money personalizing their cars, something that has proved to be a great source of profit for the BMW-owned automaker.

As reported by Cars Direct, the new incentive appeared in a recent dealer bulletin distributed by Rolls-Royce. It applies to 2025 and 2026 MY examples that will be leased through November 30. It’s worth noting the brand quietly dropped the lease cash offer from $7,500 to $5,000, while the effective interest rate on the financing is roughly 4.6% APR.

Despite the discount, the US-spec Spectre is still more expensive than it used to be back in the days of the now-defunct $7,500 federal tax credit for EVs. However, as with the new lease credit, this wasn’t available for those who purchased the luxury coupe.

Rolls-Royce Spectre Black Badge

The all-electric Rolls-Royce Spectre has been around since 2023, and is currently offered in two variants. The base model makes 577 hp (430 kW / 584 PS), while the Black Badge dials it up to 650 hp (485 kW / 659 hp), making it the most powerful member of the Goodwood stable. Both EVs are fitted with a 120 kWh battery pack which is good for 266 miles (428 km) when riding on 23-inch wheels.

Other Discounted EVs By High-End Brands

While the $5k reduction to the price of a Rolls-Royce doesn’t make much of a difference to prospective buyers, there are far more generous discounts from other high-end brands. Maserati has recently announced a hefty $50,000 incentive for purchasing or leasing the GranTurismo and GranCabrio Folgore, alongside a $25,000 discount for the Grecale Folgore SUV.

Aston Martin is also trying to get rid of its excess inventory in the US, announcing a clearance incentive on its lineup even though it doesn’t have a single EV model. The price drops are $15,000 for the Vanquish, $12,000 for the DBX 707, $10,000 for the DB12 and $7,000 for the Vantage. These numbers apply to both purchasing and leasing.
