Nissan N6 PHEV launches in China, from 12,990 USD, bound for global markets

The Nissan N6, from Dongfeng Nissan, has officially launched in China on December 1, 2025, with a manufacturer’s suggested retail price starting at 99,900 yuan (approximately 14,089 USD) and a limited-time “benefit price” starting at 91,900 yuan (about 12,990 USD). Nissan N6 is being considered for future release in Southeast Asia, the Middle East, and some parts of Latin America. As the company’s latest mid‑size plug‑in hybrid sedan, the N6 marks its first entry in the “N‑series” beyond pure electric models.

The N6 shares design language with the fully electric Nissan N7. Its front fascia features a sealed design, a full-width upper light bar, L-shaped lower lights, illuminated “NISSAN” badging, hidden door handles, and an integrated charging port on the rear quarter panel. The rear features a coupe-like profile, a through-taillight design, and a clean bumper that conceals the exhaust outlets.

Measuring 4831 mm long, 1885 mm wide, and 1494 mm high, with a 2815 mm wheelbase, the N6 is positioned as a mid-size sedan. Buyers can select 17-inch or 18-inch wheels, and exterior colours include Sunlight Gold, Mirage Silver, Wind-colored Purple, Rock Grey, Obsidian Black, and Pearl White.

The vehicle is powered by a 1.5-litre internal combustion engine paired with an electric motor, supported by a 21.1‑kWh lithium‑iron‑phosphate battery supplied by Chinese manufacturers. It offers CLTC-rated pure electric ranges of 180 km or 170 km, depending on battery variant, an unusually high electric-only range for a plug‑in hybrid at this price level.

Inside, the N6 features a floating central touchscreen and a digital instrument cluster, available in light or dark dual-tone interiors. Entry-level trims include LED lighting, automatic headlights, rear “zero-gravity” seats, push-button start, reversing camera, a 10.25-inch instrument panel, a 14.6-inch central screen, and an infotainment system powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155. Higher trims add adaptive LED lighting, ambient lighting, panoramic sunroof with manual shade, 540-degree surround-view cameras, AI-based voice assistant, adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping, parking assist, and other advanced driver assistance systems.

By combining substantial electric-only range, modern design cues, and a mid-size sedan footprint at a relatively low price, the N6 could redefine affordability and feature expectations in China’s plug-in hybrid sedan segment.
