Xiaomi delivers 500,000 vehicles in 19 months, EV revenue hits 4.10 B USD

Xiaomi Auto has delivered more than 500,000 vehicles since starting customer deliveries on April 3, 2024, according to their offical Weibo account. November deliveries exceeded 40,000 units, and total deliveries in 2025 have already surpassed the company’s original annual target of 350,000 vehicles.

The automaker launched its first model, the SU7 sedan, on March 28, 2024, with production at the Phase 1 plant operating double shifts. Sales of the YU7 electric crossover began on June 26, 2024, with mass production handled by the Phase 2 factory. The YU7 is positioned as a competitor to the Tesla Model Y. Xiaomi Auto currently produces over 350,000 vehicles annually.

Delivery times have shortened following earlier capacity constraints. YU7 buyers previously waited up to 62 weeks, while current waiting periods are 32 to 38 weeks for the YU7, 6 to 31 weeks for the SU7 sedan, and 6 to 9 weeks for the SU7 Ultra sports model. The 500,000th vehicle, a YU7 Max in Emerald Green with an optional carbon-fibre exterior, 20-inch wheels, and four-piston yellow brake callipers, is priced at approximately 362,900 yuan (51,050 USD). The YU7 Max has all-wheel drive, producing 508 kW (681 hp) and a CLTC range of 760 km, with dimensions of 4999/1996/1600 mm.

SU7 sedan & YU7 SUV deliveries continue, reducing the long waiting periods seen previously.

In October 2025, Xiaomi recorded 48,654 retail sales of new-energy passenger vehicles, according to the China Passenger Car Association (CPCA). The YU7 accounted for 33,662 wholesale units, exceeding Tesla Model Y’s domestic deliveries for the first time, at roughly 26,100 units, as reported by ECC Intelligence Bureau. Combined with previous deliveries, cumulative YU7 sales have now surpassed 70,000 units. Within China’s broader market of about 2.24 million passenger vehicle retail sales in October, Xiaomi ranked among the top-selling new-energy vehicle manufacturers, while the YU7 emerged as one of the best-selling mid-size pure electric SUVs. Analysts note that Xiaomi’s rapid entry into the EV segment is supported by its integration of in-house software and consumer electronics systems, appealing particularly to younger buyers.

Xiaomi Group’s 2025 third-quarter report shows total revenue of 113.1 billion yuan (16.0 billion USD), a 22.3 per cent increase year-on-year, and adjusted net profit of 11.3 billion yuan (1.60 billion USD), up 80.9 per cent. Revenue from smart electric vehicles, AI, and other innovation-focused businesses reached 29.0 billion yuan (4.10 billion USD) in the quarter. Research and development spending increased to 9.1 billion yuan (1.29 billion USD) in Q3, with full-year R&D projected to exceed 30 billion yuan (4.23 billion USD).

Xiaomi Auto has revised its 2025 target to more than 400,000 vehicles and plans to start international sales in 2027, initially focusing on Europe. A two-day test drive of the SU7 Ultra in Germany has been conducted as part of preparations for this expansion.
